I appreciate the Chamber of Commerce for quickly pulling together a great event at such short notice. Jobs, education and small business are top priorities for both Senator McCain and Glenn Hamer, President and CEO of the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry. I know that there will be a very good article published in the Kingman Daily Minor, so that gives me the opportunity to give my appreciation for the acknowledgement that Glenn gave to all of Mohave County as well as the strong interest that Senator McCain stated for doing his best to support our economic growth and get us more jobs.

Senator McCain also acknowledged the men and women of our local law enforcement who keep us safe, as well as our firemen. He stated that his greatest concerns for Arizona are fire and water. We have lost 20% of our forests to fire and need to protect our natural water resources; importing desalinated water from the coast is not the solution.

I also had the opportunity to share a brief moment with Chris Simpson, who shared how busy the Kingman Fire Department has been in the last few days. Everyone, please be safe and take care in these hot, dry conditions.
